Title: King Sejong Institute’s free Korean cooking classes, Good responses from the local students!
The Korean wave, which started as K-POP, has permeated the world through the continuous hits of K-Culture, such as K-Drama and Webtoon, which makes Korean restaurants popular but also introduces some Korean dishes to the home-cooked menu of locals.
More and more local people try various Korean foods that suit their tastes, such as Kimchi, which has become synonymous with fermented healthy food, Doenjang Jjigae, or Sundubu jjigae which is a spicy broth, as one of their favorite foods.
Following this trend, the registration for the first K-Food course with the meal kits for the locals opened at King Sejong Institute in Montreal ended prematurely, and the students will make 12 menus for 6 weeks from February and enjoy at home-cooked meals.
The Students can experience a variety of Korean food from easy-to-follow Kimchi Fried Rice and Tteokbokki, to three-color Songpyeon and dumplings that require a professional touch.
This meal kit Korean food classes, which will promote Korean food culture in the world, is an educational program for locals with meal kits that are provided by the Korean Food Promotion Institute under Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries by the Montreal King Sejong Institute’s Korean culture education platform.
In addition to Korean food programs, King Sejong Institute operates cultural programs such as Drama Korean, K-Style, K-POP, K-Cinema, and New to Korean culture for free.
Through this program, not only can the students learn Korean recipes, but can also learn about Korean food culture and etiquette, the story of seasoning, and the basics of Korean recipes.
