2025 Sejong Institute Foundation Scholarship Recruitment for the First Half of the Year

Purpose of Sejong Institute Foundation Scholarship Selection

• To support outstanding learners at Sejong Institutes to obtain degrees at prestigious universities in Korea, thereby encouraging them to achieve their dreams in Korean.

• In the long term, we expect them to grow as professionals fostering exchange and cooperation between Korea and other countries.

Target Semester

Degree Programs: Spring semester of 2025 (March admission)

Language Training: Spring-Summer semester of 2025 (admission within the first half of the year)

Scholarship Information by University

Catholic Kwandong University (Gangwon, Gangneung): Tuition reduction of 40-100% based on TOPIK level, full coverage of admission fee, and guaranteed dormitory. (TOPIK level 4 or higher)

Kyungnam University (Gyeongnam, Changwon): Tuition reduction of 50-70%, dormitory fee assistance based on TOPIK level, and limited eligible majors for foreign students.

Gyeongsang National University (Gyeongnam, Jinju): Full tuition and admission fee, dormitory guaranteed, 4 semesters of full-time scholarship for graduate assistants. (TOPIK level 3 or higher)

Korea University (Seoul): Full tuition, admission fee, dormitory, monthly stipend of KRW 1,500,000, and round-trip airfare. (TOPIK level 3 or higher, limited to specific majors)

Duksung Women’s University (Seoul): Tuition reduction of 30-100% (TOPIK level-based for the first semester, academic performance afterward), 50% dormitory fee for the first year, dormitory guaranteed. (TOPIK level 3 or higher)

Dongseo University (Busan): 50% tuition reduction, full admission fee coverage, 50% dormitory fee coverage. (TOPIK level 3 or an equivalent English test score)

Sunchonhyang University (Chungnam, Asan): 100% tuition and dormitory coverage for the first semester, based on academic performance afterward, TOPIK scholarship of KRW 800,000-1,400,000 (once). (TOPIK level 3 or higher)

Yonsei University (Seoul): Full tuition coverage (requires GPA 3.4/4.3 or higher each semester).

Ewha Womans University (Seoul): Full tuition for the first semester, full admission fee, dormitory guaranteed. (TOPIK level 6 or higher, recommendation from Sejong Institute)

Academy of Korean Studies (Gyeonggi, Seongnam): Full tuition coverage, dormitory, stipend of KRW 800,000 per month for one year for outstanding students. (TOPIK level 4 or higher)

Handong Global University (Pohang): Offers Handong Cornerstone Scholarship (covers tuition, dormitory, meals, excluding vacation period), operates 11 majors in English track, various scholarships based on admission criteria.

Hanyang University (Seoul): Full tuition coverage for the first semester. Limited eligible majors for foreign students.

Hoseo University (Chungnam, Asan): Full tuition coverage for the first semester (varies based on performance afterward), dormitory guaranteed. Requires TOPIK level 4 (level 3 for specific majors) or Sejong Institute Intermediate 2B.

Dankook University (Gyeonggi, Yongin): 6-month program, 50% tuition coverage, dormitory provided. Requires TOPIK level 3 or higher. Specific slots for students from Vietnam and Myanmar.

Dongguk University (Seoul): 6-month program, 50% tuition and admission fee coverage, dormitory provided. Requires TOPIK level 1 or higher, and a tablet PC for e-books.

Dongseo University (Busan): 1-year program, 50% tuition and admission fee coverage, dormitory 50% covered.

Daegu University (Gyeongbuk, Gyeongsan): 6-month program, full tuition and admission fee coverage, dormitory provided. Preferred students from Europe, North America, and Central and South America.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:

1. Must be a foreign national, with both the applicant and their parents holding foreign citizenship (not holding Korean citizenship).

2. Must be a current student or a tuition-paying student at a King Sejong Institute (verification of course enrollment or proof of tuition payment required).

3. Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements of each university (refer to the university-specific recruitment guidelines).

4. Excludes recipients of scholarships provided by the Korean government, universities, or other institutions.
